**Your opportunity**

Can you picture yourself travelling most days on a boat to one of our beautiful island destinations? Well this could become a reality We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated investigator who is a customer service champion with community at the forefront of everything they do. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves to work outdoors and is passionate about making a difference in our community

A typical day in this role may include patrolling, researching, investigating, educating, gathering evidence and taking appropriate action to obtain compliance, relating to sensitive enforcement, covering property and animal related issues. A high level of interpersonal skills is required, as well as attention to detail.

This is a varied and diverse role and will see you providing exceptional customer service, advice, direction and solutions to the community in relation to breaches of legislation and Council's Local Laws, predominantly to our Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI), Coochiemudlo Island and North Stradbroke Island (NSI) communities. You will also have the opportunity to take on a leadership and mentoring role within the unit as a senior member of the team.

**Eligibility**
- You'll hold a valid 'C' Class Manual Drivers Licence- If successful you will be identified as a person working in an 'at risk work location' or is an 'at risk' worker. It is compulsory that you be protected by the relevant immunization in accordance with Council's Staff immunization policy. Vaccines for this position include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus and Q-Fever.-
- You must be able to work flexible hours as required by operational needs, which will include weekends (penalty rates apply) on a rotational basis, or as required.- To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
