**The Role**

This rare and exciting opportunity will be part of an experienced and highly qualified team responsible for supporting our growing organisation across Queensland on all matters relating to Health and Safety. You'll be responsible for:

- Supporting the improvement and implement enhancements to injury management processes.
- Participating in early intervention activities to assist with the injury prevention and provide advice and information to support stakeholders to aid the success of the early intervention approach.
- Facilitating management and where required lead early communication with staff who have sustained both work and non-work related injuries and illness that may be impacting their capacity to work.
- Liaising with relevant allied health providers, WorkCover claims assessors/ representative and internal stakeholders.
- Working with the Risk and Compliance team to ensure compliance with relevant work health and safety legislation.
- Coaching managers on proactive early intervention and rehabilitation including the implementation of return to work plans ensuring a supportive environment for injured workers.
- Conducting ergonomic work assessments to determine suitability of work tasks and provide advice on ergonomic workstation setups.
- Preparing monthly reporting on claims management and return to work activities.
- Analysing monthly data to identify systems improvement and strategic safety planning.
- Participating in injury prevention initiatives in line with our WHS strategic plan.

**About You**

To be successful in the role you will be an expert in Rehabilitation and Return to Work with previous experience in a similar role. Allied Health qualifications in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy would be highly desirable. You will have a demonstrated knowledge of legislation and standards relating to injury management and workplace health and safety.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about health and safety, understands risk management principles, and has excellent communication skills to be able to respond to the needs and expectations of stakeholders. Solid I.T. and systems skills will be highly advantageous.
