Our **Technical, Advisory, and Capability**practice and **Team Downer**serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs.

This includes collaboration with key Defence entities, including **Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG),**and branches across the **Navy, Army, and Air Force**.

We are currently seeking a **Strategic Business Advisor**to establish and manage a PMO within the SATCOM Systems Program Office, overseeing Defence access to commercial satellite communication services, if successful in securing a role, your work may involve:

- **PMO Establishment**:Develop governance, structure, and processes for managing commercial SATCOM services within Defence.
- **User Requirements & Capability Management**:Analyse user needs, engage stakeholders, and align commercial SATCOM with Defence capability goals.
- **Supportability & Sustainment**:Create strategies for long-term service delivery, logistics, maintenance, and user support.
- **Contracting & Commercial Oversight**:Define procurement strategies, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with Defence regulations.
- **Integration & Risk Management**:Oversee technical integration, governance, security, and risk mitigation for commercial SATCOM operations.
- **Project Management & Governance**:Experience establishing and leading PMOs, certified in PMP/PRINCE2, and skilled in service delivery and performance management.
- **Systems & Engineering Expertise**:Background in systems or integration engineering, with knowledge of telecommunications, satellite communications, and technical specifications.
- **Defence & Commercial Operations**:Familiarity with Defence capability development, procurement policies, contracting, and vendor management.
- **Leadership & Communication**:Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and change management skills, with proven leadership and team-building experience.
- **Strategic & Analytical Thinking**:Expertise in problem-solving, business case development, financial analysis, and creating new operational frameworks

Our work is **highly complex and confidential;**applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary.
