**About the Role**:
As a senior member of the Fleet Control team, you this role provides leadership, coordination and guidance to the Maintenance Coordinators & Fleet maintenance specialists within Rolling Stock Maintenance (RSM).
This role is also the key conjunct for Rolling stock maintenance execution & reliability teams to ensure a reliable and effective Rolling Stock Fleet by the implementation & execution of maintenance related strategies.
The role is a key interface between Rolling Stock stakeholders and the RSM execution teams, ensuring stakeholders are engaged with any developments, challenges and the execution of adhoc fleet support.
**_This role is based in Perth on a Monday to Friday basis, with regular site travel to Port Hedland._**
**In this role you will**:
- Oversee the execution & implementation of Fleet related strategies
- Provide ongoing support, updates and representing RSM Stakeholders in fleet related matters
- Have sound understanding of our assets and maintenance strategies required to sustain long-term asset integrity
- Be involved in fleet related problem solving and investigations.
- Build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Positively shape culture in alignment with the BHP Charter Values
- Providing leadership to the Fleet Control team team and empowering them to support performance optimisation
- Help identify and then lead process improvement initiatives to support customer group by leveraging the BHP Operating System
**About You**:
- Degree or trade qualifications preferred, but not essential
- Rolling stock maintenance and aligned industry experience
- Demonstrated experience with working documents, process flow and action plans
- Proven maintenance strategy improvement and optimsation exposure
- A strong commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management (both internal and external) capabilities.
- A focus on continuous improvement and be passionate about building and maintaining positive working relationships within the team and across the business
- A solution-oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Capability of working both independently and in a team environment.
