The Opportunity

Samsung Electronics Australia is looking for a Channel Sales Manager to join our Consumer Electronics Display Memory team. This role will be responsible for building the end-to-end retail strategy, planning and execution. Role also includes the leadership, development and succession planning of a National Account Manager team.

Role and Responsibilities
- Building retail sales strategy for the Channel Division, and translating the Go-to-market strategy into actionable, quantitative plans and clear objectives and delivering on sales outcomes
- Negotiation and management of commercial terms and associated approvals
- Identify and design process improvements, making Samsung simpler and easier to do business with, using innovative and creative thinking to make smarter, simpler and customer centric processes, which are scalable and reduce the need for manual workarounds.
- Coordinating the gathering of market intelligence and monitoring competitors' sales strategies and products, campaigns and events to optimise market share
- Develop and maintain strong internal & external stakeholder relationships to ensure success

To be successful for the role, you should have a "can do" attitude with a proactive approach. Relevant experience / skills include:

- Experience in retail, sales, go-to-market strategy, knowledge of Consumer Electro industry and markets is a plus
- Strong retail sales operational knowledge and experience, with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to establish, build, lead and manage highly productive sales channels to deliver against objectives
- Commercial skills including setting optimal commercial structures and negotiating terms and contracts
- A strong track record of hiring, retaining, developing and motivating top-tier functional Talent
- Internal partnering skills to effectively work with enablers within the business such as Product, marketing, SCM and retail teams
