Our Asset Real Estate Manager will be responsible for the governance and management of all land matters relating to the Integrated Energy portfolio which consists of freehold land, leases, licences, easements, management rights and access agreements across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA and WA in addition to providing required support to corporate real estate and asset teams.

Guided by the Asset Real Estate Strategy, the role will deliver land management functions, land access solutions and coordination, landowner and stakeholder management, advisory services, including the data management of land information, business process management and improvements, land contracts administration and stakeholder engagement for the Integrated Energy operating assets.

Our vision for Asset Real Estate: Asset Real Estate will be responsible for the governance and management of all real estate matters relating to AGL's energy assets, in addition to providing support to asset teams, and strategic oversight or input into enterprise real estate matters.

Key accountabilities include:
Contract Administration and Stakeholder Management- Develop and maintain relationships with government, landowners, community stakeholders and other relevant external organisations- Strategic Land Management - lease and licence negotiations, coordinate valuations, easements, data searches, acquisitions and divestments- Coordinate land access, land management and regulatory approval processes for operating assets- Monitor and report contract obligations and compliance across various forms of tenure- Assist with the preparation of contract documentation and administration of the contract execution process- Procuring services and overseeing commercial accountabilities, with support from the necessary procurement team, and in accordance with procurement policy and other relevant governance standards

Systems- Lead the data solutions for the management of land, contract and stakeholder information to assist in delivering commercial efficiencies- Lead the optimisation and maintenance of the land information management system to ensure that Property and Land Access Agreements are registered, available to the operations teams and updated when necessary.- Utilise multiple data sources to inform property decisions e.g. title searches and public mapping systems- Maintain appropriate document storage and data integrity for land requirements in an efficient and accurate manner as a single source of truth

Governance and Compliance- Determine requirements for outsourced land service operations and specialist advice in conjunction with operating teams- Provide reporting as required for land management, including management plans and due diligence- Ensure adherence to corporate strategic priorities and governance principles- General advice and support to operating assets with respect to land related matters

Business Process Management and Improvements- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and reports in relation to property- Provide input to budget forecasts and deliver commercial efficiencies relating to land costs, manage the administration of costs such as statutory payments (rates, land tax, levies), rents and compensation- Contribute to the identification of cost savings and identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and efficiencies within Integrated Energy and Corporate Real Estate

Health, Safety and Environment- Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisations policies and standards for HSE Managements.

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in property, land economics or similar, or commercial discipline such as Business, Finance, Commerce, Law.- At least 5 years' experience in diverse property, land management and land administration- Knowledge of property transactions/conveyancing, land titles and tenure, surveying, environmental services and property information- Knowledge of relevant local, state and federal legislation across property, land and environment- Strong understanding of commercial leasing and land management inclu
