The Opportunity
Join Wales Bus at our dynamic smash repair facility in Smithfield We're looking for an experienced Body Builder to bring their expertise to our team. In this hands-on role, you'll shape and restore heavy vehicle exteriors, playing a key part in delivering high-quality results and advancing automotive excellence.
Role responsibilities
Assess vehicle damage to determine restoration procedures
Ensure chassis straightening is properly maintained and used appropriately
Handle company equipment with respect, similar to personal tools
Inform Parts Interpreter of any additional parts needed beyond the original estimate
Coordinate with workshop colleagues to optimize workflow
Report any product shortages that could impact production
Monitor daily schedules to meet timeframes

Trade qualified
Body repair experience (Essential)
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Mechanical knowledge for tool maintenance and usage
Technical aptitude for complex activities
