We are seeking an influential leader to join the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). This is an exciting opportunity to lead all aspects of the TPB's legislative and policy work program, corporate services functions, and information technology services portfolio.
As the **Assistant Secretary, Policy, Reform and Governance** you will empower and coordinate a team of technical and legal staff to support tax practitioners, delivering policy, systems, plans and governance arrangements.
You'll build and sustain relationships with a broad range of partners including the Department of Finance, Treasury, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), ATO. This includes a particular focus on tax practitioners and professional associations. You'll provide high level advice and ensure board strategies and governance are fully aligned with the law and Government's policy direction. You will provide appropriate technology solutions and data analytics and intelligence services.
You'll coordinate the operations and resources of internal committees. You'll also represent the TPB externally through forums and speaking events.
This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in** Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD.
