Government Policy Reform Specialist

Drive policy reform and governance in a dynamic team at the Australian Taxation Office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead legislative and policy work programs, corporate services functions, and information technology services portfolios.
About the Role:
- Empower and coordinate technical and legal staff to support tax practitioners with policy systems plans and governance arrangements.
- Build and sustain relationships with government agencies, professional associations, and industry partners.
- Provide high-level advice ensuring strategies align with the law and government's policy direction.
- Develop and implement technology solutions data analytics and intelligence services for tax practitioner needs.
- Represent the organization externally through forums and speaking events.
This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, or Sydney CBD.
Requirements:
- Mastery of relevant policies laws and regulations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
