Policy Officer

The Policy Officer plays a vital role in providing research, analysis, and advice on complex justice and social policy issues to support the Director.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate implementation activities, analysing progress, identifying issues, and preparing advice on major implementation issues and achievements.
  • Manage projects, tracking recommendations, to support analysis, improvements, and bi-annual reporting on domestic, family, and sexual violence system reforms.
  • Prepare well-researched briefing materials, correspondence, discussion papers, and information papers, including advice on major issues and reform activities, and contribute to bi-annual reports.
  • Liaise with Secretariat staff, government departments, and non-government organisations on implementation progress and related reform matters.
  • Support preparations for meetings, attend meetings to assist with minute-taking and follow-up as required.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Secretariat's Work Program and team deliverables and responsibilities as required.
