**About the Role**
This position leads a team involved in a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance and construction of Council's Civil Infrastructure.
**What you will be doing**:
- Allocate resources to the team to carry out tasks associated with the maintenance, repair, replacement or upgrade of Council's Civil Infrastructure.
- Complete planned and reactive tasks including maintenance of unsealed roads and table drains, removal of spoil and other materials, cleaning and repair/reconstruction of drainage structures, weed spraying and other civil related duties.
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of contractors if required.
- Leadership of team including completion and/or approvals of required documents, timesheets/leave requests, WHS checklists, customer and works requests.
- Provide assistance with the renewal and construction of Capital Works Projects.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues.
- Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects/materials.
- Ensure compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Assist in the review of guidelines and procedures including the identification of efficiencies within Council's maintenance activities.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members including the training of new team members.
- Resolve high level or escalated customer requests, enquiries and complaints.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Maintenance or related field
- Drivers Licence (Class HR or HC) - NSW
- White Card - General Construction
- Greater than 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience in the maintenance and construction of Civil Infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision and coordination of staff
**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role 9-day fortnight, W0240 Salary: Up to $80K + Superannuation + To and From Council Vehicle.
