Electrical Project Engineer

The opportunity
Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a Joint Venture between Downer and Ventia that is performing works to deliver water and wastewater repairs and maintenances services, renewals program works for the City of Gold Coast.
Due to expansion of works, we are seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Engineer
to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at Arundel with travel to sites across the Gold Coast region.
What you'll do
You will play a vital role by providing technical expertise, guidance and advice to the operations team ensuring ongoing improvement of work processes and service delivery.
Develop project documentation including technical reports, scope of works, construction methodologies and project performance/progress.
Review project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
Implement quality assurance into project delivery.
Assist with tender documentation, process and procurement activities.
Ensure design is completed within expected timeframes, checked against capital budgets during development and documented accordingly.
Assist with the development of a project budget and ensure financial targets are met without compromise to the business environment, community and client satisfaction KPIs.

What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering ideally or related discipline (recognised by Engineers Australia).
Solid knowledge of Australian electrical Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Prior experience within a Project Engineer capacity, preferably within the water and/or wastewater industry. Wider Utilities or oil and gas experience is also highly desirable.
Strong communication and sub-contractor management skills.
Relevant engineering tertiary qualification or equivalent trade-based certification.
Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting including budgeting.
Strong time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience with relevant industry standards and specifications.
