Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) is part of Vehicles and Tactical Systems Country Business Unit. EOS operates 17+ depots around Australia to provide a storage, distribution and maintenance service for Explosive Ordnance used by the Australian Defence Force.

**About the role**

We are currently on the hunt for a Technical Compliance Officer (TCO) to join our team in Orchard Hills, NSW. Providing technical guidance to EO Services you will assist the Technical Manager in providing assurance that contractual and regulatory requirements are being met.

As the TCO you will engage in improvement activities in an effort to further improve compliance, reduce risks, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Group.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide technical assistance to EO Services to ensure compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the planning and conduct of technical activities to support depot and Defence activities.
- Produce complex technical risk assessments for activities involving explosive ordnance.
- Coordinate the EO investigation and reporting process, conduct and participate in investigations and manage and maintain EO incident records.
- Conduct technical audits and provide reports to EO Services leadership.
- Review and validate current technical documents.
- Assist in the delivery of technical training and mentoring for EO Services personnel.

**How About You?**
- Experience in storage, handling and transport of Dangerous Goods, with a focus on Class 1 DG.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation on storage, handling and transport of explosives.
- Demonstrated ability to be able to author complex technical risk assessments.
- Demonstrated experience in hazard analysis and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organisation.
