Firm wide, we have over 270 Partners and 1700 people.The opportunityWe're looking for a Credit Controller to join our national Finance team based in Melbourne.
You will play a strategic role focusing on risk management, credit policies and cash flow.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure timely collections, minimise credit risk, and provide insights that support business decision making.You'll be busy withmonitor and review of debtor positions, assessing overdue to reduce outstanding balances and improve debtor turnover daysworking closely with Partners to track WIP and debtor balances, supporting consistent and timely billing practicesmaintain client exposures within established credit limits and provide support managing WIP adjustments and bad debtsensuring timely payment of debts including processing credit notes as requiredactively investigating and resolving any disputes/queries within a timely and effective manner.
Assisting with client payment plansassisting with the firm's internal and external recovery process in conjunction with Partners and Managementprovide guidance to staff and Partners on working capital management-related queries.reporting to management and Partners on outstanding issues, highlighting potential debtor and WIP riskTo succeed in this role, ideally you will haveproven experience in Credit Control, with a strong understanding of collections and credit risk managementhigh level of accuracy and efficiency when processing high volumesproficiency in Microsoft Excelexperience with Aderant (preferred but not essential)excellent time management, attention to detail, and strong organisational skillsclear and professional communication skillsWhat we offerUnrivalled career pathways:Our 180 day career forecasting sessions provide the platform to fast-track your progression.Location:Our cutting-edge office is conveniently located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD amidst a fast-pace, high-networking legal community.
