Join to apply for the Operations Capital Project Manager role at The University of Kansas Health System1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Operations Capital Project Manager role at The University of Kansas Health SystemGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Position Summary / Career InterestWe are currently hiring for an Operations Capital Project ManagerPosition TitleOperations Capital Project Manager3500 RainbowResponsibilities And Essential Job FunctionsDemonstrates competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.Gathers and organizes data to analyze operations, logistics, and financial information to support organizational resources and recommends actions to the Operations Project Director.Assumes project management role for scope, budget, and timeline for capital renovations and new build-outs.Attends weekly construction project meetings.Identifies, manages, and documents action items impacting operations, ensuring timely completion.Coordinates moves and relocations due to projects.Manages resources to complete projects successfully.Acts as liaison between end users and construction team.Leads process to identify and budget equipment for renovation projects.Develops equipment lists and budgets for projects.Develops MEP documentation for equipment.Coordinates with architects and vendors to ensure drawings are incorporated and goals are met.Develops equipment procurement timelines.Leads logistic meetings to establish project schedules for operations go-live.Manages the capital process for operational areas.Collaborates with end users on capital needs and budgets.Facilitates quotes, negotiations, and configuration reviews with vendors.Leads meetings on capital prioritization and status updates.Coordinates capital authorization process and reviews scope with requesting departments.Works with contracting, IT, and Biomed for review and sign-off.Coordinates estimates with design and construction teams.Initiates capital fund authorization.Reviews service agreements for applicable actions.Ensures timely purchase, delivery, installation, and training for projects.Performs technical competencies as required.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business, Management, or equivalent experiencePreferred Education And ExperienceMaster's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Management3+ years healthcare experienceAdministrative or Supervisory experienceTime TypeFull timeJob Requisition IDR-45669We are an equal employment opportunity employer without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation), national origin, ancestry, age (40+), disability, veteran status, or genetic information.Need help finding the right job?
