This integral role protects our assets and is accountable for managing the maintenance department budget, capital expenditure projects, ensuring preventative maintenance plans are in place, maintaining all regulatory requirements and most importantly, leading the emergency response from the property perspective.About YouWe invite applications from individuals with relevant tertiary qualifications and proven expertise in collaboration, asset management, compliance, operations and training to support the delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes across our portfolio of hotel properties in Cairns FNQ.This role requires extensive experience in facilities and project management, along with a strong understanding of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in managing budgets and maintaining complex building systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, pumps, and generators.
Proficiency in systems such as Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential for effective maintenance planning and execution.As the Facilities and Asset Manager overseeing three hotels and the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading technical staff, managing multiple projects, and coordinating vendor relationships.
You will also demonstrate the ability to interpret technical documentation, develop maintenance strategies, produce detailed reports and establish operational standards.
