**Position Summary**
**Assistant** - Prepares and sells food and drink items to customers from a food court kitchen. Pulls and stocks supplies and ingredients. Cleans kitchen and eating areas. Processes sales, collects money, and dispenses food and drink items. Follows proper safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
**Supervisor** - Supervises and participates in the daily operations of the Food Court Department and its staff. Supports the Food Court management team in promoting a high-level of productivity. Coordinates and participates in duties of the Food Court area. Implements and upholds proper Food Court and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
**Assistant**:
- Cleans and sanitises the workstations
- Sweeps, mops, sprays, washes, applies cleaning agents, wipes, and operates pressure washer
- Cleans and re-fills mop bucket. Cleans mop head
- Follows general safety and sanitation procedures and standards
- Dismantles equipment. Washes, rinses, and sanitises removable parts
- Wipes down stationary parts
- Washes containers and utensils
- Re-stocks supplies and industrial-sized containers of ingredients
- Collects cardboard and rubbish, operates rubbish compactor and cardboard baler
- Takes laundry to service pick up area
- Logs sanitation procedures performed on daily report and complies with health codes
- Follows proper general safety and security procedures and standards. Reads labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning products
- Follows Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position
- Completes and complies with the 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all safety training required by warehouse and Food Court department
- Follows department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product
- Assist in other departments of warehouse as necessary
- Follows general safety and sanitation procedures and standards
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
- Operates cash registers
**Supervisor**:
- Performs the above listed assistant duties as required
- Develops, coaches, and counsels Food Court personnel and provides feedback to promote teamwork and accountability
- Interactively monitors Food Court employee performance and participates in performance reviews as needed
- Implements and upholds proper Food Court and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards
- Coordinates duties, breaks, and lunches for Food Court crew
- Sets pace and provides training, encouragement, advice, and feedback to Food Court employees
- Ensures the smooth customer flow and quality of finished product
- Monitors finished product to see that department consistency and quality standards are met
- Arranges cash register fund increases and change orders, performs register voids, overrides register system flags, and corrects register problems
- Observes employee performance and paperwork to determine that department procedures are followed
- Participates in restocking ingredients and supplies, food preparation, selling goods, and cleaning up
- Follows Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of all equipment
- Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and Food Court department
- Participates in periodic physical inventory
- Drafts orders for Buying Office for equipment, product, and supplies
- Monitors equipment and calls for repairs as needed
- Calculates weekly and monthly totals of sales, expenses, and reports to upper management
- Compiles various reports
- Fills in for Food Court Manager when necessary
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
**Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery**
- Pizza oven, steam table, latte machine, yoghurt and smoothie machine, dough press, scale, cash register, phone, wheeled rack, rubbish compactor, cardboard baler, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, deep fryers, hot holders and proofers, computer, printer, copier
Education/Training:
- High School Certificate or higher
Licenses/Certifications:
- None required
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Food service, food court, food handling or comparable experience
- Supervisory, leadership, customer service or comparable experience
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Basic math skills
**Other specific requirements**:
- Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for certain roles
- If successful, you will be required to undertake role
