**About Us**

Our district's Information Management team is growing and they are seeking to engage District Clinical Coding Auditors/Educators. This position is integral to the effective implementation of the NBMLHD Clinical Coding Quality Framework. As the successful incumbent, you will be responsible for the coordination and conduct of clinical coding auditing and education of clinical coders to sustain clinical coding improvements. You will be working with Clinical Documentation Specialists in ensuring clinical documentation is complete, specific, unambiguous, and codable to reflect the accurate complexity of each episode of care.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) and/or relevant clinical coding qualifications, and experience in clinical coding audit with eligibility for membership of HIMAA.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct, measure, validate and sustain coding quality improvement activities in relation to clinical coding data, including coding audits, audit tools, error correction, analysis, and effective presentation of results.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, designing, and delivering education and training programs related to clinical coding.
- Demonstrated ability to extract data from source systems and data warehouses and implement and use available coding audit tools to review, trend, analyse, benchmark, and evaluate coding quality, and report on these activities in a suitable manner
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, prioritisation, and organisation skills to communicate with people confidently and courteously at all levels and manage a high workload to meet productivity targets and strict deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to an ever-changing environment using excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Highly developed communication and leadership skills with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate coding quality and audit results to key stakeholders.
