About the Role

This position is integral to the effective implementation of our Clinical Coding Quality Framework. As a District Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator, you will coordinate and conduct clinical coding audits and educate clinical coders to sustain clinical coding improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct clinical coding audits
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs related to clinical coding
  • Extract data from source systems and implement available coding audit tools to review, trend, analyse, benchmark and evaluate coding quality
  • Communicate coding quality and audit results to key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) and/or relevant clinical coding qualifications
  • Experience in clinical coding audit with eligibility for membership of HIMAA
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct, measure, validate and sustain coding quality improvement activities
  • Highly developed communication and leadership skills

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical coding audits, developing and delivering education and training programs, extracting data from source systems and implementing available coding audit tools. You will also communicate coding quality and audit results to key stakeholders.
