Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 HR Officer, Establishment and Reporting on a contract for 12 months with 2x12 months extension option.

**Position Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**_Leadership and Accountability_**
- Confidently providing accurate, timely and consistent advice on moderately complex matters in the area of establishment management, escalating more complex matters appropriately and being aware of and responsive to the impact of emerging issues on activities.
- Have accountability for completion of allocated tasks and organising workflow
- Identify and mitigate risks that will impact on own and team work outcomes.

**_ Management Diversity and Span_**
- Coordinate the workflow associated with queries received via the Establishment Management mailbox
- Undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support or operational tasks including some research and analysis activities.
- Identify and implement ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Establishment-related processes and learning opportunities e.g. through developing and maintaining work area instructions related to areas of responsibility and providing relevant training/guidance to branch support staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of establishment documentation.

**_ Job Context and Environment_**
- Have a sound general knowledge of the role and functions of the agency and an understanding of how establishment management contributes to the achievement of team and organisational goals.
- Have a good understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Effectively manage Agency records, including the accurate actioning and processing of establishment and position variation requests; onboarding and exiting of personnel in SAP; and maintenance of a number of registers in accordance with work area policy and procedures.

**_ Independence and decision-making_**
- Work autonomously under the general supervision of the HR Advisor - Establishment & Reporting, showing initiative and taking accountability for accurate completion of allocated tasks and organisation of workflow in accordance with stated objectives, seeking guidance when required.
- Analyse and diagnose available information and evidence, engaging and seeking input from others and contributing ideas and supporting objective and evidence-based decision-making processes.
- Contribute to HR projects and audits by drawing on information from multiple sources and analysing the data to draw accurate conclusions based on evidence.
- Identify issues and contribute to the resolution of issues and problems.

**_ Stakeholder Management_**
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters.
- Resolve moderately complex enquiries from stakeholders and provide information and advice as a representative of the work area.
- Build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships within key representative of the business.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Business, administration, or Human Resources qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in position management and/or SAP would be beneficial.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency
- Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
