About the role :
We have an exciting opportunity for a Men's Family Violence Counsellor to provide clinical assessment, individual and group therapy, and case management support to clients.
The role involves working with men who perpetrate family violence and prioritising the safety needs of women and children impacted by the violence.
You will work in a multi-disciplinary team passionate about community service.
Key responsibilities :
Assessment of clients considering participation in our programs.
Facilitating the Men's Behaviour Change Program.
Providing individual case management support to male perpetrators of violence.
About you :
A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
Meet mandatory minimum qualifications for specialist family violence practitioners, or commit to meeting these within five years.
Experience in facilitating group therapy, particularly Men's Behaviour Change, is desirable.
Experience working with perpetrators of family violence is desirable.
Strong commitment to enhancing the safety of women, children, and the community.
