Embark on a meaningful career path at the Queensland Treasury in the capacity of Departmental Liaison Officer, situated within the Office of the Under Treasurer. This 12-month role affords a unique vantage point from which to support and guide the offices of the Treasurer and various ministers through the intricacies of government policy and decision-making processes. You will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with a broad array of stakeholders and upholding the highest standards of service in a dynamic.

In this role, you will:

- Liaise with the offices of the Treasurer and Finance Minister, Treasury Executives and senior management of Government departments as well as key Government stakeholders, private sector entities and the community regarding government policy and programs.
- Manage the provision of high level, expert and authoritative policy advice on complex issues including commercial, economic, budget and social issues, taking into account Government policies and objectives.
- Coordinate the requirements of the offices of the Treasurer and Finance Minister in an environment requiring a high degree of trust and confidentiality, exercising judgement, authority and influence.
- Establish and foster relationships with key Government stakeholders, other Ministers and their staff, other Government departments, private sector entities and groups and members of the public.
- Co-ordinate the workflow of executive and Ministerial correspondence, briefing notes and trip briefs by liaising with internal and external clients regarding sensitive and confidential matters, monitoring important issues and following up on action required to ensure timeframes are met.

- Proven relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate and find solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, tailoring complex information for diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to deliver under tight deadlines.
- A sound understanding of government operations, protocols, and strategic priorities.
- Experience in government policy, financial reporting, or similar analytical roles.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
