Job Title: Strategic Departmental Liaison Expert

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating and providing authoritative advice to senior managers and Ministers on complex portfolio matters.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Coordinating timely and accurate advice to the Minister, Chief of Staff, and policy advisors on complex portfolio issues and departmental procedures. This includes analysing data, identifying trends, and developing effective solutions.\
  • Providing high-quality liaison support to senior managers and Ministers, ensuring they have accurate and timely information to deal with current and emerging issues.\
  • Developing strategies to improve departmental processes and approaches to meet the requirements of the Minister's Office. This involves conducting thorough research, collaborating with stakeholders, and implementing best practices.\
  • Coordinating the investigation and resolution of complaints and enquiries from Members of Parliament and the general public. This requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to resolving issues efficiently.\
  • Managing correspondence and briefing requests, including reallocations and approvals of extensions. This involves prioritising tasks, managing competing demands, and maintaining accurate records.\
  • Building and maintaining effective networks with other departments to ensure timely and quality responses to requests. This requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.\
