About the Role
The JBS Pork Australia – Feedmill is currently recruiting a Process Engineer to support the team in Corowa, NSW in a full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Stockfeed Operations Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing plant and equipment maintenance services, as well as managing the process automation function within the Stockfeed division.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance across Stockfeed sites, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Develop and manage servicing schedules, capital works, and statutory projects aligned with production needs.
Uphold WHS standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies through proactive monitoring and contractor management.
Supervise technical staff, provide training, and optimise labour resources and overtime usage.
Assist in hiring and training new employees to ensure smooth integration and skill development.
Prepare maintenance budgets, manage spare parts inventory, and drive cost-effective procurement strategies.
Monitor and enhance mill automation systems to boost operational performance.
Maintain regular communication with Operations and Mill management to align on priorities and progress.
Provide technical input on equipment upgrades, replacements, and long-term investment planning.
Participate in initiatives that enhance plant performance, safety, and business outcomes.
About You:
The idea candidate will have:
Relevant trade, industrial or engineering qualifications.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
Proven experience managing large-scale, cost-effective maintenance programs in a continuous manufacturing environment.
Solid working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and delegate effectively within a team.
Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and effective time management.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
