**The role**:
This role will assist to coordinate the payroll function, ensuring employees are paid in accordance with the Warrigal Agreements, and that accurate payroll records are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing fortnightly payroll with assistance from the Payroll Team
- Reconciliation and authorisation of fortnightly pays, ensuring EFT payments are processed in a timely manner
- Liaising with management and employees regarding pay enquiries
- Process and reconcile Payroll month end
- Prepare month end reports and statistical information and update Payroll data for board report
- End of year processing
- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to pay entitlements
- Processing pay increases and calculation of back pays
**To thrive in this role**:
- 3 to 5 years' experience coordinating payroll in a medium to large organisation.
- The ability to manage and understand the internal payroll processes such as payroll rules, award interpreter, and interrelationship between pay system modules.
- Experience with Industrial Awards and Agreements, relevant legislation and contemporary employee relations legislation.
- Experience in interpreting and negotiating Workplace Agreements.
- Demonstrated computerised payroll experience, preferably in PayGlobal.
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, including word processing, spread sheeting and report writing skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Current NSW drivers licence.
