Overview
We currently have a fantastic opportunity in our Ports & Maritime team for a Senior Coastal Engineer to work as part of a cohesive team to deliver coastal and maritime engineering services to government, port authorities and private sectors. This role may be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
Marina and small craft facility design
Planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure for ports, resources, water infrastructure, aquaculture and renewable energy sectors
Manage the delivery of coastal and maritime projects in accordance with HSE and QA policies, individually or as part of a team, or by leading a project delivery team
Preparation of proposals, fee estimates and programs for consulting projects
Liaises with clients for service delivery, networking and business development
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and supervision for junior engineers
Some intra- and interstate travel as required
Chartered or actively working towards chartership and applicable Registration
Suitable applicants will demonstrate
Degree qualified in Civil, Structural or Maritime Engineering (or similar)
Minimum 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
Knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures and port engineering
Experience delivering projects from start to finish; experience on Western Australian projects desirable
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong report-writing
Able to undertake some travel (domestic or international)
