Overview

We currently have a fantastic opportunity in our Ports & Maritime team for a Senior Coastal Engineer to work as part of a cohesive team to deliver coastal and maritime engineering services to government, port authorities and private sectors. This role may be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Responsibilities
  • Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
  • Marina and small craft facility design
  • Planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure for ports, resources, water infrastructure, aquaculture and renewable energy sectors
  • Manage the delivery of coastal and maritime projects in accordance with HSE and QA policies, individually or as part of a team, or by leading a project delivery team
  • Preparation of proposals, fee estimates and programs for consulting projects
  • Liaises with clients for service delivery, networking and business development
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and supervision for junior engineers
  • Some intra- and interstate travel as required
  • Chartered or actively working towards chartership and applicable Registration
Suitable applicants will demonstrate
  • Degree qualified in Civil, Structural or Maritime Engineering (or similar)
  • Minimum 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures and port engineering
  • Experience delivering projects from start to finish; experience on Western Australian projects desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong report-writing
  • Able to undertake some travel (domestic or international)
