RUC have been awarded a project engaged to design and construct the excavation of V7 and V8 simultaneously to intersect the mine drives at the coal seam level. RUC are required to provide all the labour and equipment to conduct the works out which includes 7 winders, 2 headframes, installation of utility services and operations works.

We are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent with shaft sinking experience to join the Shaft Sinking team on site located 16kms from Campbelltown and 37kms to Wollongong, in picturesque Appin, NSW.

**About the Role**
- Manage all fixed and mobile plant assets underground and surface in accordance with the company Asset Management plan
- Provide input into the strategic planning process for all underground and surface plant assets
- Liaise with maintenance personnel to ensure that preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and repair requirements are communicated
- Monitor equipment availability and recommend intervention when availability falls below required levels
- Develop and foster ongoing working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the prioritisation of maintenance activities are balanced across site
- Ensure that lost time due to unplanned stoppages is minimised through immediate breakdown response and proper maintenance planning
- Develop and maintain weekly and daily schedules.
- Ensure mechanical maintenance personnel receive the mentoring and guidance required to carry out their daily duties and responsibilties
- Ensure site safety protocols and standards are applied across all work fronts
- Liaising with other project staff and employees to achieve high standards of care and due diligence
- Provide direct supervision of sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility

**Essential Requirements for the Role**:

- Australian Recognised Trade Cert - Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
- Working at Heights (within 3 years)
- Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Construction White Card
- Previous underground shaft mining experience
