Job Description
As our Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Lead, you will lead the delivery of effective injury prevention, claims management and injury management processes in support of business objectives.
Other responsibilities include:
Lead, coach and develop to the Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Advisors and Coordinator, ensuring development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and support centre.
Assist to develop and implement simple, relevant and effective injury and claims management policies, procedures and strategies that minimise operational impact, reduce costs and continually improve health and safety results.
Work collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets and timeframes for implementation.
Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
Assist to develop and implement any health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure the business has best practices in place.
Assist to ensure the Injury Management System is maintained with accurate and relevant information and is effectively used by both the Wellbeing and Injury Management, Safety and HR teams
Contribute to the coordination and compiling of safety reporting and presentations including board reports, quarterly strategy tracking and retail leadership meetings in collaboration with the Wellbeing & Injury Manager and Group GM Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Effectively facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations and claim costs are minimized
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders
Work collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as Insurers and OR Providers, to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, the timely delivery of exceptional customer service and cost-effective outcomes
Manage and deliver ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychologist
Relevant professional association membership and/or registration
3+ years rehabilitation experience (clinical and non-clinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry
Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through implementation of injury prevention programs
