Join Kmart Group as our **Injury and Wellbeing Team Leader**, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of our valued employees. Reporting directly to the National Manager - Injury and Wellbeing, you will lead a dedicated team of Injury and Wellbeing Advisors, overseeing the implementation of our comprehensive injury prevention and wellness programs.

**What you'll be doing**:
As an **Injury and Wellbeing Team Leader** working at Kmart Group, you will:

- Directing the Injury & Wellbeing Advisors (IWAs) to maintain uniformity in implementing the injury & wellbeing program across all Kmart and Target store locations.
- Oversight and evaluation of management strategies' efficacy, with a focus on continuous enhancement across the Workers' Compensation portfolios in Australia and New Zealand.
- Spearheading projects aimed at enhancing the Kmart Groups workplace Health & Safety Program continuously, with the goal of reducing injuries and claims costs.
- Partnering with external entities to ensure the provision of suitable treatment, services, and support for return-to-work matters.
- Collaborate with legal teams regarding workers' compensation claims, including those related to common law and impairment benefits, spanning multiple states and territories.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and consultation to Injury and Wellbeing Advisors (IWAs) and claims teams regarding injury management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Upskill Managers at Stores/Distribution Centers in injury management and prevention best practices.
- Enable effective claims and injury management strategies to be implemented on all claims to reduce workers' compensation premium costs and managing a small portfolio of claims.
- Develop and coach the Injury & Wellbeing Advisors into a high performing team with exceptional workers compensation results.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving the wellbeing of employees within the organization
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in an allied health field such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or Nursing, or possess a related qualification.
- Exhibit exceptional leadership abilities with proven experience in effectively leading and managing teams of allied health professionals.
- Exposure to a self-insurance scheme and a solid understanding of national workers compensation legislation across both Australia and New Zealand.
- Have a solid grasp of best-practice healthcare and rehabilitation standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Have experience in developing and conducting training programs related to return-to-work policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in auditing rehabilitation case files and providing coaching to improve outcomes.
- Possess experience in utilizing Case Management software for return-to-work purposes, preferably SolvInjury (formerly InjuryConnect).
- Have experience collaborating with legal teams on matters related to workers' compensation claims across multiple states and territories.
