About You
**To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate**:
- outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- an ability to effectively coordinate and negotiate requests, bookings, diaries and communication on behalf of executive leadership teams;
- exceptional time management and organisational skills allowing you to coordinate the workload and workflow of others;
- an ability to quickly establish strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders;
- skills in developing presentations and compiling meeting notes and agendas (highly desirable).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide high level professional secretarial services to the First Nations Deputy Director-General including diary management, preparing meeting agendas, papers and minute taking
- Develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with staff of the branch, as well as other internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries in a professional, solution-focused manner and communicate effectively to ensure objectives are achieved;
- Provide accurate, timely and confidential executive and administrative support as required, including diary management, planning and scheduling meetings (including room bookings), travel arrangements, processing invoice payments, preparing meeting agendas, papers and minute taking;
**Mandatory Requirements for and Identified Role**:
It is a genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.

By definition a person who is not an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cannot be employed (on any basis) to perform the duties of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role.
