About the Role
As an Event Coordinator at GTR Events, you will oversee the planning and delivery of Outdoor Living & Caravan Expos across Australia.
You will manage a portfolio of upcoming events, working autonomously on all aspects of event management, including project coordination, supplier negotiations, council approvals, onsite operations, logistics, budget management, and post-event reporting.
Duties
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to scope, quote, and engage infrastructure and services for your event portfolio.
Manage onsite delivery of events, contributing to both your specific portfolio and wider company objectives.
Report progress and escalate issues during planning to management.
Participate in team development, innovation, and brainstorming sessions to contribute new ideas and processes.
As project lead, manage financial forecasts, report on performance, and provide feedback for future budgets.
Liaise with stakeholders and organize meetings as needed.
Develop and contribute to event documentation, including management, emergency, and risk plans.
Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
Event management experience, particularly in operational planning and delivery of outdoor major events.
Ability to handle multiple complex projects with effective prioritization and time management.
Ability to work independently and proactively within a dynamic team environment.
Strong stakeholder relationship skills with third-party operators.
Excellent communication skills across all management levels.
Ability to follow systems and processes diligently.
DESIRABLE
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Site tickets such as forklift, white card, first aid, MHV license, traffic control, etc.
Personal Attributes
A desire to learn and grow professionally.
Team-oriented with the ability to contribute positively to workplace culture.
Proactive attitude, comfortable leading or supporting projects as needed.
