Recruiting the new **Associate Director - Emerging & Sustainable Mobility** is part of SYSTRA's plan to further strengthen its ANZ capability and expertise in zero emission transport systems, electromobility and energy transition, including for heavy rail.
**The opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director - Delivery & Growth Market ANZ, the Associate Director - Emerging & Sustainable Mobility will implement processes, controls, and resources to win and deliver work with the expected level of safety, quality and value for clients and SYSTRA ANZ.
**In this role, you will**:
- Understand the Energy Transition market in the Transport sector including zero emission transport systems and electromobility for road and rail vehicles.
- Develop and implement the Energy Transition Business Plan and Go to Market Strategies in line with SYSTRA's business strategies.
- Manage and deliver technical services to clients on energy transition and electromobility projects across ANZ, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with SYSTRA's systems and processes.
- Manage and produce studies on Energy Transition in relation to strategic transport planning, transport operations and maintenance. This could include (for example) feasibility studies for development or conversion of transport networks/lines, maintenance facilities and related assets to sustainable energy sources.
- Support and contribute to the provision of Energy Transition services to clients, including specification of transport technologies and related assets (e.g. charging infrastructure), data analytics, modelling, resource management, development of deliverables and client and/or internal reporting.
- Define and take ownership of techniques and methods for technical work by others, providing clear guidance and interpretation of results.
- Utilise SYSTRA's analytical tools to optimise use of data in project outcomes and value and contribute to development of new tools.
**Required experience and skills**:
- Qualified (by a recognised tertiary or professional institution) in a relevant engineering discipline, or have sufficient practical experience to demonstrate equivalence to a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Energy Transition and Transport Project Delivery
- Experience in electromobility, transition networks, transport planning, zero emissions transport systems, energy generation or any energy transition-related fields/disciplines.
- Domain knowledge in more than one specialist area; e-bus mode is a strong requirement, and knowledge of rail and electric vehicles is appreciated.
