**About Consumer Health Information, within the Patient and Visitor Services under the People and Patient Experience Team at the Women's**

The people and Patient Experience Team is responsible for providing strategic and operational services to support the experience of patients and consumers, and our employees at the Women's. The team is committed to forming strong internal and external partnerships through the implementation and integration of contemporary patient experience and human resource practice.

The Consumer Health Information values evidence based, current information being delivered to the community in a factual manner, with a health literacy focus. The role of the Patient and Consumer Health Information Consultant, is to develop and quality assure the Women's suite of patient and consumer health information. This position will support patient communication, patient information, brochures and publications, virtual care, telehealth and other initiatives, and support shared decision making. This small team supports health information dissemination across multiple platforms in alignment with the Women's patient experience priorities and objectives.

- Liaising with internal and external experts in their field
- Ensuring the latest, high quality, evidence-based health information is available to our patients and consumers

**About you**

You'll bring with you:

- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, working on consumer health information
- Relevant education or degree
- Possess high level understanding of health literacy and barriers to health literacy

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a small team
