In this hands-on role, you'll take ownership of the maintenance, safety, and operational performance of all equipment, vehicles, and facilities across the site-driving real impact from day one.If you're passionate about keeping things running smoothly, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to be part of a team that values initiative and ownership, this could be your next big move.Reporting to the DC Manager, your areas of accountability will include but not be limited to:Safety and risk: Monitor, manage and support safety and risk procedures for all plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilities.Preventive, Planned and General maintenance: Ensure all plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilities are inspected and maintained proactively with a view to reduce or minimise service disruption from unplanned outages.Contractor and stakeholder management: Manage contractors and stakeholders for plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilities.Continuous improvement: Lead, support and participate in continuous improvement projects and programs of work.Skills Development: Participate in planned training including skill development for maintenance activities.Due to the nature of this role, some weekend and after-hours work may be expected.About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring:A background in Mechanical/ Electrical and/or maintenance and facilitiesStrong technical understanding of basic mechanics for plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles and facilitiesDemonstrated experience and understanding of contractor management and maintenance planningDemonstrated capability to manage expenses in line with budgetsKnowledge of Warehouse manual handling equipmentOrganised, proactive and self-drivenAbility to perform handyman tasksA valid forklift licenceWHY JOIN US?
