We provide English language training as well as and vocational courses (VET) in Marketing, Project Management and Business to international students living in Australia.ILSC & Greystone College Sydney seeks an enthusiastic Student Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team at our CBD campus.
This position is a varied and challenging role and has plenty of opportunity for growth and development the international education industry.The Student Advisor duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following tasks:Student AdvisingSupporting students on-campus by advising on aspects such as cultural acclimatization and general academic issuesSupporting student accommodation requests (i.e. Homestay and student residence)Providing a special duty of care for under-age students with regular check-insPreparing for new student intake (ELICOS & VET)Facilitating academic and financial intervention and problem-solving (if required)Supporting agents by answering phone calls, responding to questions about current student status and providing course informationActing as a point of contact for walk-in students, conducting school tours and ensuring successful conversionFacilitating student extensionsIssuing Letter of Acceptance and COEs and working with the school's database systemOtherAnswering the phone, transferring calls and taking messagesHelping students with questions and problems and/or leading them to the correct departmentUpdating PRISMS site with relevant student informationAssisting the manager & academic director with assigned tasksSupporting reception (if required)Attending general staff and team meetings and training sessions as assignedAd-hoc National Student Services tasks(to be determined)Other related duties or tasks as determined by the Student Services ManagerILSC & Greystone College Sydney builds lives and careers through education at our campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as in Canada and India.We pride ourselves on our inclusive, creative and energetic atmosphere.
Our mission is to provide staff and students with transformative work and study experiences, and we are looking for passionate and like-minded individuals to join our team.Selection Criteria:Experience working in an international college and / or schoolDemonstrated customer service skillsOutstanding organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent technical skills (database, Microsoft 365, PRISMS )A passion for education and sensitivity to the cultural and language issues facing our overseas studentsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluency in written and spoken English is a mustJapanese Speaker is a requirement for this positionWork Hours:Full-time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am to 8pm.This position is based at the Sydney campus.
It does not have a working from home option.
