**About the client**:
It was founded in 1950 in Melbourne, Australia. They have been operating for more than 70 years as a 100% Australian and family-owned company, specializing in the design, manufacturing, distribution and fitment of aftermarket undercar parts. Currently, they have over 120 outlets throughout Australia comprising of stores and authorized dealerships, and have an international distribution network that operates across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. They also support and service other brands in Australia and globally through private labels and our work with fleet, mining and defence customers.
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage all aspects of the business including, sales, profitability, and team development in all outlets for Western Australia. The role provides support for the management of day-to-day operational requirements of the state's along with resource management and planning to ensure performance standards and expectations are met. The role is also responsible for the efficient delegation of tasks to all company employees to ensure performance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure that all Workplace Health and Safety standards and work practices are adhered to.
- Contribute to an innovative and positive team environment in line with the company's values and Culture
- Ensure that company policy and procedures are adhered to by all employees, franchisees, and authorized dealers.
- Together with the People and Development team, engage in the recruitment and induction activities, performance management and/or discipline of employees.
- Participate in and conduct performance review conversations in line with the performance review process.
- Identify and mentor suitable employees to grow within the business or become potential franchisees.
- Provide effective leadership to motivate and support your teams to achieve sales targets and manage performance.
- Support Store and Warehouse teams during leave coverage and recruitment processes.
- May be required to supervise and train new franchisees, Authorised Dealers, and their team members. - Implement and deliver on business objectives and strategy.
- Pro-actively be involved in the day-to-day operations of stores and inform the Senior Executive - Domestic Sales and Operations of any competitive activity, feedback, or suggestions received by either customer's, franchisees, authorised dealers or team members.
- Investigate and finalise customer complaints.
- Identifying and reporting of opportunities for growth and development.
- Investigate, develop, and facilitate expansion of the store and authorised dealer network through existing business conversion(s) or greenfield site identification and promotion.
- Maintain and grow the profitability of the company's network of company and franchise stores and authorised dealers.
- The role may at times require you to assist in the coordination and set up of new stores and authorised Dealers.
- The role also serves as a support role for the decisions and directions of Senior Management.
- To coordinate and run training seminars in your state where required.
- Conduct consistent visit cycles to support company, franchise, and authorised dealer network which will involve inter/intra state travel at times.
- Participate in after hour's meetings, training, conferences, and trade shows.
- To chair and monitor regular meeting(s) with key regional stakeholders as required
Key Skills required to carry out this role:
- Current, full car drivers license issued in the state of employment.
- Previous experience with complaints management preferred.
- Working knowledge of industry/market rules and customer service processes
- Strong people management and time management skills
- Working knowledge of relevant IT systems
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with store owners, store management, head office employees and trade.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated experience in automotive suspension repairs and operation.
- Experience in sales to a varied spectrum of clients, including Business to Business and retail
- Qualification or demonstrative experience in automotive suspension repairs, components, and operation.
- 3-5 years' experience leading a team in a retail store or workshop environment
