**The role**

In this role you will be facilitating and effectively managing clinical education and competency programs within our Maternity Unit. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services related to the clinical education of our team within the unit. The role also requires working with and supporting management in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

**What you will bring**

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong specialist clinical skillset in Midwifery and a strong capacity for training and education of clinical team members. You will bring a passion for high quality care and the ability to inspire and develop that passion and skill in your team members. Strong communication and problem solving skills are a must along with the ability to think quickly on your feet and manage your time in a busy acute care environment.
- Skilled Registered Midwifery with AHPRA (Minimum of 5 years clinical experience within an acute maternity environment).
- Comprehensive specialty knowledge.
- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (or working towards).
- Post-Graduate Qualifications in Midwifery (or working towards).
- Passion to improve all aspects of the woman's journey through the education of staff.

Wollongong Private Maternity Unit consists of 4 birthing rooms, 25 bed antenatal/postnatal ward and a 7 bay Special Care Nursery (from 34 weeks). We are a small but excellent team consisting of Registered Midwives, Registered Nurses (SCN and Paediatric trained), Enrolled Nurses and AIN/AIM's. We pride ourselves on our compassionate care of both the families and our colleagues alike.

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:

- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19** a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a **National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children **check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
