This role is an identified role under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
Working within the Queensland Memory team, the Coordinator, Indigenous Languages role will work with language researchers, language centres, practitioners and cultural organisations to enhance the revitalisation of First Nations languages across the state. Utilising State Library's collections, the role will enable the discovery of new knowledge and connections, through a series of public outcomes, including language symposia, regional workshops and targeting programming.The role description will outline any qualifications, licences and specific requirements of the role.
