Job DescriptionMy People Solutions Recruitment is currently seeking to fill three vacancies for a Disability Support Worker for evening and inactive overnight shifts in a mature all-male 1:3 SIL House in Clyde North.
We are looking for applicants who are reliable, committed to delivering quality care, and possess the necessary qualifications and at least 2+ years of experience as a disability support worker, including experience working with adults with high physical support needs, ABIs, high intensity support needs, and behaviours of concern.Most shifts available are evening and inactive overnight shifts starting at 6 pm and finishing at 6 am the next morning.
During the hours of 10 pm to 6 am, the worker will be provided with their own bedroom and bathroom.
Successful candidates may also be offered daytime shifts or shifts in other locations depending on their skills, experience, and availability.Essential requirements include: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid / CPR, Working with Children Check, a valid driver's license, and access to a reliable vehicle.
A current medication administration and manual handling certificate, along with attendance at regular in-house training sessions, are also required.Important:Applicants will only be considered if they have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a disability support worker, providing high-intensity care, and all their documents are current and up to date.Minimum Requirements:At least 2+ years of experience as a disability support worker.Experience working with adults with high physical support needs, ABIs, high intensity support needs, and behaviours of concern, including restrictive practices.Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, valid driving license, and access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance.Qualifications such as Cert III in Individual Supports, Cert IV in Disability, Mental Health Care, or equivalent or higher are preferred.Current medication administration and manual handling certifications.Additional attributes include strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, integrity, honesty, reliability, and a good sense of humor.
