Job SummaryAs a SeniorSolutions Engineer: Defence & Intelligence (Pre Sales) in NetApp's Sales Function, you will primarily provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
You will utilise your technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results.
You will be assigned to a district team and sales leader, focusing on expanding our presence within existing and new clients together with business partners.Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrationsAssists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutionsMay create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutionsMay build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for clientProviding consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validationJob ResponsibilitiesDesigning tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challengesConveying the advantaged of NetApp storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussionsDesigning an architecting on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN and Object Storage is required)Developing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterpriser applications, also in the context of Cloud ServicesProviding deep insights into Storage and Data Management vendor eco system, and having had prior experience on backup solutionsCreating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offeringsCollaborate with client executives and partner sales to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to storage solutionsAdvise on engagement and utilization of broader range of technical resourcesOffering and applying technical expertise on NetApp's storage product and solutioJob RequirementsAt least 8Years of experience and expertise in technical specifications on storage product and servicesDue to nature of role Australian Citizenship is manditory and NV1 or higher security clearance is preferredPrior experience of working in capacity of Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering on storage technologiesOperate as Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) and has the ability to influence Sales team, driving initiatives and act as a Decision-maker on ProjectsExperience or working knowledgewith the product ofEMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware or PureStoragePrior knowledge in Cloud, Storage, AI/ML, Database, Microservice, Enterprise Application or DevOps is advantageousInterested and/or possess with the relevant knowledgewith Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8S) platformInterestedand/or possess with the relevant knowledgefor hybrid multi-cloud technologies, AI PlatformAt NetApp, we embrace a hybrid working environment designed to strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture for all employees.
