**About the role**

You will join our team of highly motivated and hardworking individuals, assisting in the delivery of the internal audit plan, SOX compliance program and other ad-hoc projects as required. You will also have the chance to collaborate with our global Corporate Audit team through regular catch-ups and relevant projects. Under the supervision and guidance of the Corporate Audit Director, your day-to-day responsibilities will include those described below. You will be coached and mentored by a team of great professionals that will guide your professional development throughout your career with us by both on-the-job training and through other skill-specific training programs, as needed.

**What you'll do**
- Perform the planning, delivery and reporting of internal audit projects assigned to you (including assurance, advisory, investigations, SOX-support, ad-hoc projects, etc.) across operational, financial and technology risk areas.
- Use your technical and analytical skills to ensure business and technology processes are understood, documented and analysed effectively to identify key risks and that effective test plans are developed and executed, whether by our internal team or through co-source partners.
- Challenge audit approaches and consider ways in which our use of technical audit techniques and data analysis can be advanced in all of your work.
- Document findings in a clear and concise manner and offer practical and actionable recommendations for the areas under review.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring of open management actions to address internal audit findings. Validate that completed management actions address and mitigate the risks identified during engagements.
- Maintain an understanding of the business' goals, objectives, strategies and business risks and participate in risk assessment activities as a conduit for developing, refreshing and validating our risk-based internal audit plan. Assist in developing presentations for senior management, News Corp's Audit Committee with respect to the audit scope, coverage, and findings.
- Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with the business, promoting our brand in everything you do

**About you**
- Relevant experience in the same or similar position (Big 4 background or equivalent in-house role).
- You are passionate about the value internal audit can bring and working with the business to deliver timely, relevant and insightful findings and recommendations.
- You are eager to learn more about new and emerging risk areas (such as ESG, automation, AI, and evolving technologies).
- You adapt quickly to change and are able to prioritise assignments to meet deadlines.
- You are commercial, pragmatic and able to balance independence and objectivity with a partnering mentality.
- You are a great communicator, able to relate to different levels and functions of the organisation both when executing reviews and feeding back findings.
- You are tech savvy and want to help develop our utilisation of data.
- You are able to manage your own time and workload ongoing, but are quick to react when input and guidance from others in the wider team is necessary.
- Willingness to travel - an interest in global work and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds. Note: Whilst ad-hoc domestic and/or international travel may be required at times, the majority of work completed is expected to be at our Surry Hills office in Sydney.
- Ideally, you have attained one or more relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CMA, CFE, CIRM, CA, CCA, etc.)
