About the Department of Education

The Strategic Communication & Engagement (SCE) branch is responsible for the department's corporate communications, sponsorship and events as well as media and social media. Services provided by SCE ensures that the department has a strategic corporate communications framework and consistent approach to engaging with schools, members of the community, the media, business, and other government agencies.
About the Role
- Assist with the delivery of programs and events including large staged arena performances, gala dinners, conferences, visual art, instrumental and choral programs, and state-wide events as required.
- Consult with schools, regional offices, internal and external stakeholders and liaise with project coordinators to plan and assist with the delivery of programs and events for the department.
- Source external suppliers and manage the associated purchasing and payment processes.
- Liaise with project coordinators to prepare event specific materials including briefing notes, function profiles, program schedules and event run sheets.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff and external clients to ensure the success of the department's programs and events.
**Mandatory requirements**:
Applicants must have a valid Blue Card. After hours and weekend work is integral to the role.
