Ao5 Events And Program Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated Events and Programs Officer to join our State Government client.
You will design, deliver and evaluate high-profile events, awards, sponsorship and community engagement programs that celebrate Queensland and its people.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping events and programs that highlight government priorities, unify communities and showcase outstanding Queenslanders.
From concept to completion, you'll bring creativity, organisation and precision to everything you do.
This is a contract role, initially for 8 weeks, which may be extended.
At AO5 level, this role is paying $66.86 per hour + super and will be located in the Brisbane CBD office.
What you'll do : Coordinate a portfolio of events, awards and community engagement programs from planning through to evaluation.
Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, communications, sponsorship agreements, briefing notes and reports.
Deliver best-practice events and programs in line with government policies and procedures.
Build strong relationships with government, business and community stakeholders.
Manage contractors, suppliers, and event systems / databases with accuracy and professionalism.
Develop innovative marketing plans and promotional materials to support event success.
About you : Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality events and / or community programs.
Skilled in managing multiple projects and relationships in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in event management, communications, public relations or a related field (desirable).
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work outside business hours and travel statewide as required.
A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
