**The Role**
The
**Leading Hand Mechanical** will be part of a team who is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing your team, while acting as a point of reference for managers and for workers.

Key responsibilities

Supervision of assembly including but not limited to:

- Assigning general and daily duties to workers on the site, ensuring that quality standards and safety precautions are followed and met
- Training and coordinating staff as needed, ensuring that they have the resources they need to fulfill their job requirements
- Planning and reviewing the overall status of projects on an ongoing basis
- Supervising and managing the use and maintenance of tools, materials and equipment
- Coordinating the use of OHS policies, ensuring workplace compliance, and reporting hazards and near misses
- Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation, honesty and teamwork

**About You**
- Relevant Mechanical Trade certification
- Experience working with power generation equipment, including experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent time management skills
- Confidence dealing with tradespeople to customers / stakeholders and supervisors.
- Understanding of ISO and OHSE requirements
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety
