We currently have an opportunity for a Batch Plant Operator to join our Toowoomba team.In this diverse position, you will play a critical role in our business by ensuring customer expectations are met at all stages of our ordering & delivery processes.
You will provide excellent customer service whilst taking orders, batching concrete to customer specifications, and scheduling and allocating deliveries to maximise the efficiency and utilisation of our concrete agitator trucks.You will also operate mobile and fixed plant equipment, including front end loaders and forklifts.If you are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to safety, then this is your opportunity to join our team.We offer a friendly team environment, an attractive hourly rate, and opportunities to grow your career.ResponsibilitiesRepresent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone-based customer serviceTake orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for deliveryBatch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerised systemUse software packages to schedule rostering and truck movements for the regionEnsure Chain of Responsibility requirements are adhered to at all timesOrder raw materialsWhat you will need to succeedPrevious experience in a similar role (highly regarded)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customersConfident when working with computersPrevious experience in Command/Jonel batching systems (desired but not essential)Plant Operator (FEL preferred)Demonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant changePlease note full training will be provided for the right candidateOur BusinessHy-Tec is a leading supplier of premixed concrete, aggregates, and sands to various construction sectors.
