**Work for a local council in the north east as a NAR and Property Officer working 38 hours a week as a Casual.**

Pay rate: $35-37.36 Per Hour.

**About the role**:
We are looking for a capable NAR and Property Officer to join the team at a Local Council. Your main goal will be to maintain the Property data base and Name & Address Register and to assist with the delivery of the day to day functions and requirements of the Revenue Services Unit, in order to ensure that organisational deadlines are met. As well as provide an efficient and accurate valuation and property information service to rate payers, user authorities other Council Divisions and management.

**Essential and Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a rate office or similar computerised office environment.
- Must possess competent word processing and typing skills.
- Ability to think clearly and make accurate decisions with regard to documentation to be processed.
- Must demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Communication skills with regards to daily counter and telephone enquiries.
- Must be able to work co-operatively and successfully as part of a team.
- Possess the commitment to deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Ability to work independently without daily referral to supervisor.
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage tasks and workload.
- Knowledge of Name and Address Register maintenance and processes.
- Knowledge of Local Government legislation and procedures relevant to Rates, Valuations and Council elections.
- Knowledge of the procedures involved in property transactions.
- Able to obtain a valid Police Check
- Be COVID vaccinated in lines with the government mandates.
