**About the role**

QIC has an exciting opportunity for a Research Analyst (Economics) to join our Economics & Research team on a permanent basis. This position will assist with implementing the Economics & Research team's program of work in support of QIC's Corporate Strategy, Investment team's processes/decisions, key stakeholder engagements and thought leadership.

The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- assisting in the analysis and forecasting of the global and Australian economies;
- assisting with developing infrastructure to forecast the global and Australian economies;
- providing contributions to written reports and presentations on economic forecasts and developments of QIC's economic modelling infrastructure to a publishable quality;
- developing an understanding of the QIC Investment team's processes and investment decisions and identifying opportunities to maximise efficiencies within the team's work program; and
- working closely with team members and taking ownership of specific areas of economic research and analysis.

- demonstrated skills in the use of Excel;
- demonstrated skills in report writing and presentations;
- highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
- ability and desire to work within a team environment; and
- independent thinking with the ability to implement key elements of the Economics & Research work program under the direction of senior members of the team
