**About WSP's Australian Maritime Team**:
WSP's Australian maritime team is a highly collaborative, dynamic, and focused group of specialists working across regional borders to deliver the highest quality outcomes for clients and projects around Australia and internationally. We are at the forefront of highly innovative planning, design, and development for port, maritime, and intermodal facilities. We are currently delivering some of the biggest and most exciting, challenging, and fulfilling projects in the region, and are growing our team based on our strong workload and project pipeline.

**About the Role**

**What you'll do**:

- Working with clients to define their requirements and discuss progress, delivering a high-quality client experience:

- Developing port and intermodal master planning projects across Australia and the region, including greenfield developments and projects within existing ports
- Working across different project phases from initial concepts through to detailed terminal plans
- Identifying and evaluating appropriate and practical solutions to the challenges set by our clients
- A high level of collaboration with colleagues in the Australian and Global maritime teams, including contribution to WSP's global port planning network
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Preparation of high-quality reports and presentations
- Supporting successful business development, including contributing to or leading winning proposals
- Promotion of WSP's team at industry events, including publication and presentation of technical papers
- Acting as a mentor to new members of staff
- Short to medium term site visits (Australia and Overseas) may also become necessary depending on project requirements

We are looking for Port Planners with a sound background who share our enthusiasm and determination to develop and deliver opportunities across multiple sectors.

**About you**:

- Applicants with 10-30 years of experience will be considered
- Proven experience in delivering master plans for port and intermodal projects
- Other relevant experience working in port, maritime, and freight sector, including design, construction, and operations
- Excellent working knowledge of port and intermodal terminal automation approaches, benefits, and limitations
- Ability to deliver technically sound advice in alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team player with a strong track record in strategically improving the technical capabilities of the team
