About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Program Lead to join our Hunter Frigates Program based at Osborne, South Australia reporting to the Head of Supply Chain.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
As the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Program Lead, you will lead the AIC team in all aspects of AIC obligations and responsibilities under the Hunter contract in line with the AIC Plan and AIC Strategy. The role is also responsible for delivering related assistance to the Hunter leadership team in establishing strategies and solutions to deliver the program outcomes.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Manage the team to complete activities which include but are not limited to investment cases proposals, targeted tasks, indigenous engagements, industry engagement and capability gap analysis to schedule and budget
- Engage customer counterpart to ensure alignment on AIC matters both present and future
- Proactively engage with the wider maritime and enterprise AIC and Supply Chain leads to ensure contribution and alignment on the overarching enterprise and maritime strategy.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders have AIC Control Account Management
- Ensure all relevant reviews and approvals are arranged, resourced and completed
- Work with Head of Supply Chain - Batch 1 to strategically plan and optimise the AIC achievable outcomes for Batch 1 and any future submissions
- Contribute to the AIC communications strategy, ensuring it is consistent and supportive of the AIC Strategy
- Prepare and deliver AIC reports including progress against KPIs and activities related to AIC obligations

About YOU
- Extensive relevant experience in a complex, matrix organisation
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline including supply chain, procurement, project management, engineering
- Experience in managing and leading multi -disciplined teams
- Experience in bid management
- An ability to form strong working relationships in a project environment, with major suppliers
- An ability to balance conflicting priorities
- Experience in senior leadership communication
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain to the level of Negative Vetting 1
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
